Privacy Notice
How we handle enquiries and personal information.
Last updated: 23 October 2026
BAE Consultancy Ltd ("we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy. This notice explains how we handle personal information when you visit our website, contact us, request a consultation or enquire about BAE Academy.
1. Who we are
BAE Consultancy Ltd
Registered office: 109 Sandyhill Road, Manchester, M9 8JR, United Kingdom
Email: contact@baeconsulting.org
Website: baeconsulting.org
BAE Consultancy Ltd is responsible for deciding how personal information submitted to us through this website is used.
2. Information we collect
When you submit an enquiry or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number (if supplied), organisation name (if supplied), information about your project or training enquiry, and any other details you choose to include in your message. We may also receive information you provide in subsequent email correspondence.
Please do not include sensitive personal information in your enquiry unless it is necessary.
3. Why we use your information
We use this information to respond to messages, arrange consultations, discuss potential cloud, data and AI consultancy work, answer BAE Academy enquiries, and manage any resulting business relationship. We may also use information where necessary to comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We do not currently use enquiry details for unsolicited marketing emails.
4. Our lawful bases
Depending on the circumstances, we rely on our legitimate interests in handling and responding to business enquiries; taking steps at your request before entering into a contract or performing a contract; and compliance with legal obligations. Where consent is required for a particular activity, we will ask for it.
5. Where information is handled
Website enquiries are processed through Netlify Forms. Enquiry notifications and related communications are handled through Microsoft 365 Outlook. We do not currently use a separate customer relationship management (CRM) system for website enquiries. Access to these services is limited to authorised users.
6. How long we keep your information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
For general enquiries that do not result in an ongoing client relationship, we will normally delete the information from our active Netlify and Microsoft 365 records when it is no longer required.
Where an enquiry leads to an ongoing business relationship, or where legal or regulatory requirements apply, we may retain relevant information for longer. We review information periodically and remove it when it is no longer needed. Information held in service-provider backups may remain temporarily subject to their applicable retention arrangements.
7. Sharing and international processing
We use Netlify to host the website and process form submissions, and Microsoft to provide business email services. These providers may process information on our behalf, including outside the United Kingdom, subject to their applicable data protection arrangements and relevant legal safeguards. We may disclose information where required by law. We do not sell or rent personal information.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
We do not currently include advertising trackers or optional analytics scripts in our website code. Technical cookies or similar technologies may be used by our hosting or service providers where necessary to operate their services. If we add optional analytics, advertising or other non-essential tracking, we will update our privacy information and implement any consent controls required by law.
9. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict or transfer your personal information, and to object to certain processing. In particular, you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
To make a request, email contact@baeconsulting.org. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
10. Security and external links
We take reasonable steps to protect information against unauthorised access, loss and misuse, although no online system can guarantee absolute security. External websites linked from our pages have their own privacy practices.
11. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as our services, systems or legal obligations change. The latest version will appear on this page with an updated date.
